Being In Community

Being In Community

Means:

  • All people are treated with respect.

  • People can heal, grow, and unite without judgment or agenda.

  • We engage the heart, body, and imagination.

  • Curiosity is celebrated.

  • Diversity of life experience, opinion, gender identity, ethnic/racial identity, physical ability, religious affiliation (or none) is honored --all voices matter

  • Self-discovery and pursuit of the sacred is honored as a courageous, transformational path.

  • We understand that our actions ripple outward, and we desire to build a more compassionate world.

  • Story Sharing and Story Keeping are strands that weave us together.

  • We do our best to listen devoutly to one another by

    • holding stories in confidence.

    • speaking from the heart one person at a time.

    • trusting inner wisdom and not trying to fix one another.

    • welcoming silence and pauses.

    • remembering no one needs judging.

    • welcoming curiosity and seeking to understand.
